My Story

Emmanuel’s History:

 Emmanuel lives with his mother and older brother, Ronald.  His father abandoned them several years ago to marry another woman.  He has 5 children from different women and refuses to offer any support to Emmanuel’s mother.  She does not have a reliable source of income and is also HIV positive.  She struggles to pay for the medicine she needs let alone rent, food and her boys’ schooling.  As a result, the boys were in and out of different schools for several years and suffering from the interruptions to their studies.  Gratefully, Emmanuel joined Children of Uganda’s education program in 2013 and is a great example of what can be accomplished through steady, structured schooling.

About Emmanuel:

 Emmanuel enjoys gaming in his free time, which he does in internet cafes whenever he is able.  Otherwise you can find him on the football field where he shines as a striker.   He is also a foodie and loves chicken and rice, although he says he cannot chose a favorite food.  He will eat whatever is put on the table. “Food is food”, he says.

Emmanuel cannot wait to become a Technical engineer because he enjoys correcting mistakes!
