Lockdown Relief Fund

In 2020, "Uganda imposed one of Africa's earliest and strictest lockdowns, successfully containing the first wave of the virus," as reported by CNN

But now, the country is facing its worst outbreak since the pandemic began.

Due to the escalating spread of COVID-19 and the detection of variant strains in Uganda, all learning institutions were government mandated to close on June 7th, 2021.  Our sponsored students, all of whom who had just gotten back to school, are now being forced back into a minimum 42 day lockdown.

And families, who were just getting back on their feet, are now combating movement restrictions, bussiness set-backs and crippling price hikes. Many of our guardians aren't sure how many more hits they can take...will you give them a hand up?
